His Noodliness

I wanted to make this post sooner, but with everything that's been happening in the news recently it felt like it was a little inappropriate to talk about silly science fiction stuff so soon.

In any case, I've gotten back to work on the map. With time, I think the new material will be good enough to show in a short video or here on the blog. Surprisingly, most of what I had planned has already been built. If I had to guess, I'd say only the last third of the rough brushwork is left to do. After, it's time to work on the NPC's and special effects.

Obviously Lost Highway won't be done in the same time frame Hypnophobia benefited from, but hey, I'm busier now. I've got places to be. Although, I can already tell you that I like the foggier, brighter style of environments I've been working with. It's a refreshing break from the dark, foreboding interiors of the previous three. In fact, I'm inclined to think the series will just keep getting brighter and shinier until I have to stop, step back and realize no one can see what they're doing anymore.

There isn't much to tell besides that. Well, except this...

But that's not all. There's also...

This.  A couple days ago I decided to do a watercolor of the Dalek Emperor and have been trying to convince my sister to hang it in her room since. If I didn't know any better, I'd say she didn't want it. But I know she's just been too busy to give me a proper answer. Or she's too awe-struck and has been rendered speechless.
